Confusion is what I have been going through with my STD (short term disability) approved and my FMLA ( Family Medical Leave Act) approved and now my ability to return to work. Staples uses a company called Cigna. Cigna handles all of my medical leave time. I have to call one 800 number and then use the ext.'s to talk to each department.

A Hospital Bed is the most loneliest place on earth. |
6-30-12
At 3 am I am woken to the lights
being turned on and them saying “we are going to put you into this bed” I
thought oh great a roommate. Not sure
that I wanted that. Lol
At 3:30 and at 4 am his alarm kept
going off and the nurse had to come in and reset it. Which drove me nuts. From that point on, my mind would not shut
down. I would roll to one side and then to the other, then back to the
other. Finally I was woken up at 6 am by
leeteefa. She said good morning I am going to draw blood. I laid out my arm.
She said ok this arm. I nodded. She put
the strap on and stuck me, then drew 2 vials of blood. She said now that wasn’t
too bad was it. I smiled and said no.
She left the room and I started to doze again. She came back and said I
have to stick you again, because I forgot to draw one of them. I laid my arm
back out and she stuck me right back in the same hole.
At 8am breakfast was served. But
it was not exactly what I had in mind.
The coffee was pretty nasty with only one sugar, which I normally use
sweet-n-low. I had two pancakes, with
only one butter and no syrup. One bite
and yuck. I just couldn’t do it. The next item was oatmeal. Nasty again. No sugar in it, nor butter. I like to doctor up my food a little bit.

Where have you been? |
Its been quite a long time since I have blogged. I thought I should update you all on my adventures for the past 4 months.
August
August was a ruff month for me, it was a time in my life for change. I transferred to a new store, and I had to learn so much, I had to learn the lay out of my new store, (totally different) had to learn new peoples names (like we have 2 Ed's and 2 Laurens - I finally learned to page the department instead of the name. lol) and learned how they work as a team.
I learned very quickly that this store has two major groups. One group has been working together since the store opened and the other was a mix of people that just never fit into the first group.
Kudos to:
Our District Manager Doug - I have been with Staples for going on 5 years now. I have never seen a District manger jump in and work. Not long after I transferred to this store, I was asked to go to another store and work for the day.
