Saturday morning Kevin and I had planned on starting when we woke up. Well I woke up at 6:30 am and Kevin woke up after 7am. We started out of the house by 8am. We had two stops to make before we hit the road to Ft. Myers. We stopped and got gas first and then went to Starbucks for coffee and breakfast. We walked into Starbucks and I stood before the counter, I could not remember my favorite coffee, I was excited to be going up north for the weekend. The girl behind the counter, good morning, you want your coffee I said yes, she knew what we both wanted and fixed them right away.
Kevin drove the entire way, I was happy with that. I really dont like driving on interstates. It makes me very nervous.
We were on the road for 2.5 hours when we pulled into Ft. Myers. We were going to visit Kevin's friend (D) from Indiana and her girlfriend (T). We pull up the the house and (D) is waiting on us. We get out of the car and hugged and she introduces us to her girlfriend (T).

Where have you been? |
Its been quite a long time since I have blogged. I thought I should update you all on my adventures for the past 4 months.
August
August was a ruff month for me, it was a time in my life for change. I transferred to a new store, and I had to learn so much, I had to learn the lay out of my new store, (totally different) had to learn new peoples names (like we have 2 Ed's and 2 Laurens - I finally learned to page the department instead of the name. lol) and learned how they work as a team.
I learned very quickly that this store has two major groups. One group has been working together since the store opened and the other was a mix of people that just never fit into the first group.
Kudos to:
Our District Manager Doug - I have been with Staples for going on 5 years now. I have never seen a District manger jump in and work. Not long after I transferred to this store, I was asked to go to another store and work for the day.

Kevins Birthday @ Java Boys, Wilton Manors, FL. |
Yesterday was Kevin's Birthday, I asked him where he wanted to go and what he wanted to do. His first suggestion was Java Boys, Wilton Manors, FL. He wanted a Coffee. Kevin and I jumped in the car and took off for Wilton Manors. (we passed by 4 starbucks on the way)

Java Boys is a Gay Friendly coffee shop. I assume that it has wi-fi since there are a lot of people with laptops. Its a friendly environment, the owners Steve and Nikki are awesome. Its like opening the door to your home when you walk in.
While I was taking pictures of the building, I hear this guy say "OMG I see a camera" I stop taking pictures of the building and look his way, he said "Take my Picture". I got the camera set up and squeezed the trigger and he yanked up his shirt.
After we were done eating, we took off to visit some of the shops around town. Once we were done, we headed back home. Kevin went to lay out by the pool, and I came in and started writing this post.
About 20 minutes later Kevin was back, I asked why so soon? He said its getting over cast and the water was cold today.
A little after 7 pm we take off for Outback Steak House for Kevin's Birthday Dinner.
On the way there I saw this awesome cloud formation. I had to take a picture of it.

I had a yummy Steak dinner. Medium Rare, mmmm mmmm mmmm goood.
I found this really cool feature on my camera, its continuous pictures, what that means is you press the button and it takes a picture, then another one and another one until you let go of the button.

I thought the lights in these are pretty cool.
