I met some friends at Wicked Manors last night. Wicked Manors is a town wide Halloween Party. (held in downtown Wilton Manors) There were at least 10,000 people there last night. Music, drinks and lots and lots of costumes.
When our group broke up at 1am, me and my friend walked home. We were talking about how much fun it was, all the costumes. Even Mr. Bronx was there in Drag, with a Sailor (boyfriend). I even said, I wished I had taken my camera. Next year I will.
As we approached my town home, there are 3 steps spaced about 4 foot apart. Well I was talking and I turned to say something, and missed the step.
I fell like a ton of bricks. I landed on my right side. I laid there for a couple of minutes, trying to decide if I could get up, my friend said "wow that looked like it hurt!" as he held out his hand to help me back up. Without thinking about it, I put out my right hand and he grabbed it. As he pulled me up I had major pain in my elbow. I thought this isn't going to be good. I stood there for a couple of minutes and started to walk and felt pain in my right knee. I limped to the front door and then had to limp up the 36 stairs to my bed room. Once there I looked and found .....
A huge bruise and my leg is swollen. When I took a shower I noticed scrape marks on my back too, but I dont feel those, I mostly feel my right knee, back, shoulders and ribs.
No I was not drunk, I had one drink at the party and that was all my money. 2 beers cost $9.50
I just wasn't paying attention where I was walking.
The worst part of it, is I had to work all day today, and it was busy in the copy center. I was hoping it was going to be a nice slow day. It wasn't the first order came in at 10 am and the last one was at 5:55pm.
Oh well such is life. At least I went to work right?

Ouch! I feel for ya! I'm just glad you didn't break any bones or hit your head. Hope you stop aching soon and have some slower days at work in the next few days. Take care!
I agree with John - - - Ouch! Try Alleve. It is great for inflammation. You will probably feel worse before you feel better. Generally the third day is difficult and then you start to heal. I hate when I do something that could be avoided, too.
It's tough getting old, isn't it? I fear falling down because I know I wouldn't be able to just bounce back up. If we are like this in our 40s, how's it going to be in our 60s?!!
@ John, Me too my friend.
@ miss Lynda,I agree with the third day feeling worst. Cause today is that day and I am hurting.
@ Cubby, I think we will go down and just break all to little pieces.
I'm the queen of hurting myself! I've forever falling or twisting something! Ice is my BEST FRIEND! Ice and elevate if you can!
