This was an intresting day. I went to the garden to pull weeds and clean it up a bit. I try to go out every day and clean, hoe and pull up stuff. Weeds grow more quickly than anything I have ever seen.
I was done, tired, sweaty, thirsty, exhausted, so off to the house I went, not thinking about much, I grabbed the door handle and twisted it thing it will open. My face hit the door. It was locked! I did not lock it on the way out.
Both of my room mates were gone. I thought oh no this is not going to be good. I spent over 3 hours waiting on one of the room mates to get home. I sat in the car in the garage, I sat on the porch, I laid on the floor, I walked to Q's house, but, she wasn't home.
When my room mate got home I asked him about the door, and he said oh I thought you was in your room. As he chuckled under his breath.
It taught me a good lesson, never ever leave the house without my keys.

A Beautiful Sunset |
I was out taking pictures of the garden. When I was walking in and noticed this sunset. It was really pretty. The are no filters on the camera. The picture is just that. I guess it is from the trees. The back yard is big, but its noisy. I live right next to an interstate. It amazes me how one gets used to the noise. Like I cannot even tell that there is an interstate while I am in the house, but when I am out side, its loud.
Family that has been here says how can you stand that noise? I just look at them and say what noise? When I lived next to a train tracks, it was the same way except for the dishes would be loud, rattling in the cabinets.

My Experience at Toco Bell Store#001715 Beech Grove, IN |
Well first off it was not a good experience. We was there at 1:36 pm today. I ordered a Mexican Pizza and two Bean Burritos. Then I looked at the menu, and saw the number 5 was a Mexican pizza with two hard taco's for $5.69.
Then I asked the girl can I just exchange the hard tacos for the bean burritos? She called the manager up, a young man in his early 20's, a thin build, blond hair and a cocky mouth. He said absoulutly not, cocking his head and waving his hand no.
He is not good with customer communication. As a matter of fact he was down right rude. It wasn't the fact that it couldn't be done, but it was his attitude. If he would have said sorry but no. Then I would have totally understood.
Another girl handed me my food, and I asked the girl at the counter for my cup. She said I had to wait until she was done taking the orders. I thought that was strange. I stood there for a few minutes. She then grabbed my cup and put another cup into mine, which is unsanitary. I don't know where her hands have been. Other than touching cash money, which we all know is nasty, and full of germs. She turns her back with out saying a word and gets ice for all the cups. She comes back with the cups and hands them to us. By the time I sat down and started eating, my pizza was only warm.
My friend Q that was with me, her burrito had the side torn open, she needed a knife. When I went to ask for one they said no we don't have any. They used to carry them. The only thing that they had was sporks. If sporks are it, then they need to carry the ones that has the little knifes on them.
The thing is, we all total spent over $18.00 there, and with gas prices over 4.19 a gallon that is like $22.00. I told my friends we could have went to Red Lobster and gotten better food and service.
Ok I am done venting.

Mike Calls Frantic - Needs Help |
Mike called me tonight about 8:30pm wanted to know if I could come over and help him out. He has 2 basement apartments that are flooded.
Fox59 reported that .09" of rain fell at 4:54pm Fox59 Report
When I got there, Mike proceeded to tell me that the street was completely flooded, that all the water from down the street ended right up to the corner and where his property sits. Mike said "It looked like a small lake". The water ran from the street to his property and then ran down the stairs into his basement apartment. Mike said its been years since this has happened. He said that the property had this problem and he thought he had fixed the problem with raising the driveway.
When I got into the apartment, I noticed the kitchen floor, it looked like a water bed. You step on it and the ripples went to the walls. The carpets still had puddles on it.
He asked if I would use the water vacuum and clean it up. Mike said he had been working on it since 5pm and needed a break.
I worked hard on it for a few hours until it was dry enough to put the fans out.
When I got home I was exhausted. I took a shower and went to bed. I fell right asleep. Normally, I would have been up till 4am.

Steamboat Belle of Louisville Crashed on the Ohio River in the early 1980's |
I was at A.C.'s house and she said, hey look at these pictures. As I thumbed through them, she was telling me about a Gospel Concert that she attended on the Steamboat Bell of Louisville, on the Ohio River back in the early 1980. Back in 1980, I did not even know A.C.. A.C. and I became friends in the year 2000. A.C. gave me permission to use her pictures for this article. The weird part of this story is, I too was on that same boat. Our church went to hear the Gospel Singing while on this 3 story paddle steam powered boat. (there are red arrows pointing to our church members) I remember getting up early with my family. It was about 6am. I remember it well because everyone had to get a bath, and with only one bathroom it was a bit hectic. Everyone was meeting at the church, so that we could all go at the same time. We all climbed on the bus and headed to Louisville, Kentucky.
I remember the trip there was fun and exciting. All us kids, laughed and played games.
Once there we boarded, we had to walk up this steal plank. It was fairly easy to walk up, as long as the Belle of Louisville wasn't rocking. Once inside, the main room, was one of the most beautiful things I have seen, it was like a ball room out of a movie. I remember looking at the ceiling and seeing all the designs. The hard wood floor was all nice and shiny. After this quick look the room started to fill up and the stage was set. I went to the top floor and looked around. I remember standing at the back and watching the paddles push the Belle of Louisville down the Ohio River while listening to the concert. It was a lot of fun, seeing the sights along the river.
The concert lasted about 2 hours and so did the trip along the Ohio River. As we started to dock I heard the Captain say over the speaker, "we are getting ready to dock" or something to that effect. Everyone went to the front of the boat to watch us dock.
I was on the top deck with my friends. We watched the dock become closer, and closer, where the Belle of Louisville had to dock was right behind another boat. (A.C. said it was a Police boat)
The Captain, made a horrible mistake, he announced that we was docking. When everyone went to the front of the Bell of Louisville the paddles came out of the water enough to have no effects to them. So the Captain could not stop, we was heading straight into to the dock with another big boat already docked. We was heading straight for it. The Captain I assumed, tried to turn the boat, but it was too late, the mast as I watched it in slow motion, hooked onto the other big boat and started bending before my eyes. I thought this isn't going to be good. Everyone was in a trance, there wasn't a sound for the longest time. And then boom, screaming started, and then the Bell of Louisville, slammed into the other boat. Every ones bodies hurled forward. One of my friends was actually thrown overboard, she was caught by two guys, before she hit the water.
The sounds of wood breaking and glass shattering, still sends chills down my spine.
The screams of panic was in the air. I had to stand up and get my bearings. I was confused for a minute. I looked at all people crying, and started to move towards the stairs. I ran down the stairs fast, because I knew that is where I left my grandmothers. I saw broken glass everywhere and it crunched under my feet. As I got close to where they were sitting their backs were to me, my heart sank to the floor, as I got close I could see blood on the table before them. They was sitting right in front of the windows that shattered. I looked at Granny first, she seemed to be ok, but Grandma Allen had a cut on the bridge of her nose. Granny yelled at me to go get dad. I took off in a flash, by the time I found him and mom and got back there was other attending Grandma Allen's nose.
Once we cleared the other boat, the Belle of Louisville, had to turn around and try to dock us again. It took us about 30 minutes to do that process, and they did it much better the second time around. The only thing was, when we crashed, the steal plank that we walked up on was now on the floor of the Ohio River. They improvised and had wood planks ready for us when we docked. The picture to the left is two combined into one. I thought that it was cool looking. I don't think that A.C. Mother was thinking about that when she took these. If you look close you can see a green arrow pointing to a boy leaning against a post. That boy was me. I was in her pictures too.
As I was doing my research on this, I never found anything on the internet. The only thing I found was the calliope was broke in the early 1980's. Perhaps it was broke in this crash. I don't know that for fact. I am not sure the total of people that was hurt on the Belle of Louisville. But in our group, there were two that had to go to the hospital.
The bus ride home was quiet. I guess everyone was still in shock. The images running over in our heads.
It took me 20 years before I could even step on a boat again.

Yet Another Storm - this one was bad. |
A.C. Stopped by and asked if I would go to her house and help her out. I agreed and we headed for her house. One the way I saw a field that was covered in water, it looked like a huge lake. As we went on, I saw a pontoon boat, out on what looked like a lake, but was sitting in a field. The trailer was still attached to it.
When we got to A.C.'s house her basement was flooded, there was at least 7" of water down there. The drains in her house was slow moving, I assume it was from all the water running down the street drains.
Tomorrow I am going to check on my garden and check to see if there is any other type of damage.
This has been one of those days. =o(

p.s. I chipped a tooth today too.

My Ron Paul Sign is on Google's Street View |
I about flipped out when I saw this. I was going to make a post about how long it took me to mow today with a push mower. It took me 3 hours pushing it. I sold my John Deere and I am already missing it.
I was searching for a map of my yard, and found this, I thought it was pretty cool that I had to share it with you. It shows my house and my yard and my Ron Paul sign. Little things in life makes me smile. I thought it was cool.
You can take your mouse and put it into the picture and move it around. This is way cool!

Tornado Sirens Blaring - A Storm Rolls In. |

With the tornado sirens blaring I was scrambling to find my camera. A smart person would run to the closet or a safe location. Instead, I get my camera and head out the door.
I am in the breezeway looking out the door, I took several pictures and noticed the clouds breaking up. I saw 1 bolt of lightening. That was it. It stopped raining too.
When I looked at the breezeway floor it was wet, and I remembered that I still needed to clean the gutters. So I cleaned over half of them before it started to lightning again and I stopped. Call me crazy, but, they needed it, and my breezeway is dry again.

Marchand Paris, France Binoculars Opera Glasses Found in A.C.'s House |
I went again to visit A.C. While I was there she showed me her binoculars. It really caught my eye, how beautiful it was. I noticed that it is old, I would say back from the 1920's era. I took picture of it and did some research. The only thing that I could find out about it, it was used to see the opera. (Opera Glasses)Looking at it closely, I discovered it has pearl inlays, with a copper body. It was crafted very well, to last all these years. I had to pick it up and play with it for sometime. It still works after all these years. I was surprised how light weight it was.
As you can see in the picture, the pearl inlay is cracked, and it has a small dent in the end of it.
Its amazing to me all the history that is in A.C.'s house. She showed me old pictures of her mother, and to me she looked like a movie star.
It was yet another great find.
Hope you had a great Tuesday.

A look into my back yard. |
This is a short article. I wanted to start taking pictures again, so I went first into my back yard.In the far back corner of the yard stands a small angel statue. It pretty, but honestly most of the time I forget is there.
The bench has seen better days. It looks like its been out there for a decade. But we know it really hasn't.
The tree picture is right next to the house. Its a huge tree, that stands very tall.
The last picture is my garden, and as you can tell there really isnt anything growing as of yet. But its planted. I need to get out there and weed.
I hope you had a great Monday.

Haunted House and Haunted Yard |
This is an unusual article. I was taking pictures for some other articles and when I went to crop them and get them ready for the site, I found a few things interesting, such as all the pictures that I took in the house had no orbs, but one picture showed a ghost in a sign. When I went to the breezeway there was at least 4 orbs on the ping pong table. I went outside and took pictures of the trees and there were more orbs. I didn't see these until I got back to my computer.I do believe in ghost and things that we can not see. Who knows what walks this earth with us.
I have posted the pictures so that you can see them too. I put red circles around all the orbs or lights that was out of place.

The picture of the ghost, you can see plain as day. Its funny because, you can only see this at certain times of the night. It doesn't always show up.
I made this video as well check it out and let me know what you think.
In the 4th picture in the bottom circle, there is a strange light, its bright and its oddly shaped. Instead of being round its long. There are no lights in this part of the picture, the camera was pointed up in the tree, I was trying to take pictures that were different. To my surprise, all these were different. If I catch anymore of these orbs, I will post a new article on it.
